Ryanair today announced a new route from Ireland West Knock Airport to Malaga in the Costa Del Sol operating weekly on Thursdays commencing 4th April 2013. Malaga is Ryanair’s sixth sun destination from Ireland West Knock along with their popular services to Alicante, Faro-Algarve, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife.

Ireland West Airport Knock Managing Director Joe Gilmore said "It is a great boost for Ireland West Airport Knock to be expanding our network of destinations with Ryanair. The addition of a new service to Malaga is most welcome given the numbers who travel in their thousands every year to the Costa Del Sol. We are confident that the Malaga programme will be well received by the public and we look forward to working with Ryanair in promoting the new service ".

Ryanair Sales & Marketing Manager Maria Macken said "Ryanair is pleased to announce a new route from Ireland West Airport Knock to Malaga for summer 2013.  This new weekly service will operate on Thursdays from 4th April 2013 and complements the fantastic summer destinations already on sale to top holiday spots including Alicante, Faro, Barcelona, Gran Canaria & Lanzarote, to name just a few! ".

Ryanair is to resume its twice weekly (Tues, Sat) Ireland West Knock Airport to Barcelona Girona route from 2nd April 2013 and Milan Bergamo (Wed, Sun) from 31st March 2013.
