Turkish Airlines Launches dedicated Irish Social Media platforms ©

Picture: Turkish Airlines Airbus A320 departing from Dublin                                                      THY Turkish Airlines whom operate a daily Istanbul-Dublin service enabling global connections through it's Istanbul Hub using a mix of Airbus and Boeing aircraft which can vary according to demand have launched two new specific Facebook & Twitter Irish pages to grow brand awareness in the market. THY Turkish Airlines  has been operating the Dublin route since the 11th April 2006 and is the fourth largest carrier in Europe carrying over 32 million passengers annually with a fleet of 186 aircraft with a further 41 on order operating to 246 destinations (including subsidaries) and is a member of the Star Alliance. The airline will be adding new routes to the network this year Kinshasa, Male, Sarm El Sheikh and Sabha. First Transaero Airlines aircraft arrives for heavy maintenance in Shannon ©

                                                      EI-CXR Boeing 737-329 Transaero Airlines TSO9431 arrived in Shannon Airport on the evening of Monday 13th August for the first heavy maintenance check to be carried out by Transaero Engineering Ireland Ltd on behalf of it's parent company following the acquisition of Air Atlanta Aero Engineering Ltd in April, the aircraft is no stranger to Irish skies previously operated by Sabena Airlines. This aircraft had previously visited Shannon for maintenance with Air Atlanta Aero Engineering from 1st to 12th May 2005 (Malcom Nason). Transaero Engineering Ireland Ltd employs 241 staff including 16 apprentices hired this year with plans to hire 100 staff over the next 12 months performing MRO services on Boeing 737, 757 & 767 aircraft for aircraft leasing companies, airlines, cargo, corporate operators . It holds approvals from various airworthiness authorities including Bermuda, Chad , Canada, Cayman, EASA, FAA  Nigeria and U
