Minoan Air to end Dublin service

Mionan Air Fokker 50
In an statement on London Oxford Airport website Minoan Air have decided to cease flights to Edinburgh and Dublin effective 4th August. The service commenced on Wednesday 6th March.

London Oxford Airport is very disappointed with this announcement .The airport will be exploring all avenues to replace the carrier with another operator at the earliest opportunity.

Mionair operates to Dublin three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

This mad venture was never going to work. Who in either England, Scotland or Ireland had ever heard of Minoan Air or who for that matter was aware that there were scheduled flights from Oxford (please don't call it London Oxford for in no way is it a London airport). Maybe the airport should approach FlyBe, who at least are known and credible.

  2. Thank you for your comment Bernard another option could be Aer Lingus Regional operated by Aer Arann to feed Aer Lingus Transatlantic hub in Dublin as they do succesfully from other UK airports
