Pope Francis travels on Irish registered Alitalia aircraft to Brazil

Courtesy: FlightAware   Pope Francis has traveled on an Irish registered Alitalia aircraft EI-EJM Airbus A330-202 c/n 1308 AZA4000,  from Rome Fiumicino to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil to celebrate the 28th World Youth Day, on his first overseas trip since becoming pontiff in March. The pope tweeted his excitement over his ensuing arrival in Brazil after departing Rome. "Shortly after departing I am arriving in Brazil in a few hours and my heart is already full of joy because soon I will be with you to celebrate the 28th World Youth Day," said the pope using his @Pontifex Twitter account. German Air Force Airbus A310 repainted at Dublin

                                                    Courtesy: Paul Doyle  Eirtech Aviation continues to grow its customer base as the German Air Force sent 12+06 Airbus A310-304 MRTT c/n 522 to Dublin for repainting. The aircraft had arrived on 4th July last and it returned to Cologne/Bonn on 18th July. Paul Doyle pictured the aircraft prior to its departure from Dublin. According website this aircraft was previously operated by Lufthansa as D-AIDE and was acquired by German Air Force in 1999 for conversion into Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) role for Cargo, Passenger, Tanker duties.
