Ryanair announces new route from Karlstad to Tenerife South

Ryanair announced a new route from Karlstad to Tenerife South route operating weekly on Fridays from 1st November, as part of it's expanded winter programme from Tenerife South in Winter 2013.

The route will operated by a Tenerife South based aircraft.

In addition Ryanair operates a seasonal twice weekly service to Barcelona Girona. In 2012 it carried over 30,000 passengers on the route with 20% of the passengers Spanish inbound tourists to Karlstad.

Ryanair Sales & Marketing Director Nordic and Baltic countries Elina Hakkarainen said "We are very pleased with the development of the Barcelona line, so now we are expanding cooperation with Karlstad with another route."

Karlstad is a city, the seat of Karlstad Municipality, the capital of Värmland County, and the largest city in the province Värmland in Sweden, is often associated with sunshine and the symbol for Karlstad is a smiling sun. Karlstad is reputed to be one of the sunniest towns in Sweden.

Ryanair expands Swedish route network for Winter 2013

Ryanair has announced for Winter 2013/4 the addition of seven new routes from Sweden operating a total of 85 routes.

This winter it'summer services go year-round from Goteborg City to Edinburgh route operating twice weekly from 1st November , and Stockholm Skastva to Paphos operating twice weekly from 24th October an increase from it's weekly flight this summer.

The carrier launches a new route from Karlstad to Tenerife South weekly from 1st November

The routes from Stockholm Skavsta  to Las Palmas and Tenerife South and Stockholm Vasteras to Las Palmas and Tenerife South where prior announced on 2nd May see my blog post Ryanair announces new winter sun routes from Sweden.

Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary said "Ryanair is pleased to present the Swedish winter schedule for 2013, which includes 85 lines, of which 7 are new to the exciting European destinations including Edinburgh, Gran Canaria, Paphos and Tenerife."

Ryanair adds 10 new routes from Norway

Ryanair announced 10 new routes from Norway to it's route network for Winter 2013/4 from it's bases in Oslo Rygge and Oslo Torp.

The carrier will launch seven new routes from Oslo Ryggee to Edinburgh, Frankfurt Hahn,Kaunas, Las Palmas, Rzezow and Tenerife South, and three new routes from Oslo Torp to Alicante, Malaga and Tenerife South.

Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary said "Ryanair is delighted to launch our winter program 2013 from Norway, with 68 routes, including 10 new winter routes to popular winter sun destinations such as Alicante, Gran Canaria, Malaga, Paphos and Tenerife."

At press conference in Oslo Michael O'Leary stated the carrier was keen to expand it's route network Norway in the next year to five years, adding Avinor needed to change mentality and method pointing out many airports where empty.

Ryanair currently operates from Haugesund, Oslo Rygge (Base) and Olso Torp in Norway to 63 destinations carrying 2.5 million passengers annually, and operates from Dublin to Oslo Rygge four times weekly.
