Rwandair fourth Boeing 737-800 delivered through Shannon Airport

                                                  9XR-WR Boeing 737-800 RwandAir, the national carrier of the Republic of Rwanda, took delivery of it's fourth brand new Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The aircraft registered 9XR-WR Boeing 737-800 construction number  41357 was delivered Boeing Field-Gander-Shannon-Athens-Kigali between 26 and 28 May. The aircraft delivery is part of the lease agreement signed in December 2015 between RwandAir and Aircraft Lease Corporation. The new aircraft will enable the carrier to launch new destinations in Africa such as Conakry (Guinea), Bamako (Mali), and Dakar (Senegal). RwandAir CEO Chance Ndagano said "This aircraft will be RwandAir’s fourth of its type. It comes to enable new connections on the continent and beyond, as the airline continues to foster economic exchange between Rwanda and the rest of the world." 9XR-WR Image courtesy of Joe Henney. Atlantic Aviation Group appoint new Non-Executive Director

                                                    Image courtesy of AAG  Shannon based aviation company Atlantic Aviation Group have this week announced the appointment of Cathal Kilmartin as a non-executive Director at the company. “We are delighted to have someone of Cathal’s considerable experience joining our team,” said Patrick Jordan, Atlantic Aviation Group Executive Chairman. “His extensive knowledge of the aviation industry will play a big role in guiding our company growth plans into the future.” Commenting on his new appointment, Mr Kilmartin said, “I am delighted to have joined Atlantic Aviation Group as a non-executive Director. Ryanair adds seven brand new 737-800 aircraft in May increasing fleet to 398

                                                  Ryanair Boeing 737-8AS  Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair added seven brand new Boeing 737-800s to it's fleet in May increasing fleet to  398 aircraft. The Irish low-cost carrier operates the largest fleet of Next-Generation 737-800s in the world.
