SAS Airlines Ireland commences Dublin Services

                                                Image courtesy of Airbus  SAS Airlines subsidary SAS Airlines Ireland today (Sunday 25 March) commenced its first scheduled service to Dublin with EI-SIC Airbus A320-251N construction number 7979  operating SAS2537/8 to and from Copenhagen. On Monday 26 March it's sistership EI-SIE operated SAS537/8 from and to Copenhagen. On 14 November 2017 Routesonline published SAS outlines Irish unit operation from Dec 2017 indicating filed operations on routes from Dublin to Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm Arlanda for Summer 18. SAS CEO Rickard Gustafson president and CEO stated SAS Ireland operations “got off to a flying start” up to the end of February, the airline had completed over 800 flights and carried 80,000 passengers. Aer Lingus inaugurates new Dublin to Philadelphia service

                                                  Aer Lingus Boeing 757-200 Irish carrier Aer Lingus today (Sunday 25 March) inaugurated it's 14th new route to North America with Philadelphia as part of its strategy of building Dublin into a Gateway hub. Over the last two years five new North American services have been added to Hartford, Los Angeles, Miami, and Philadelphia on the back of IAG investment in a growing fleet adding four long-haul aircraft. The ingural flight EIN115 was operated by EI-LBS Boeing 757-2Q8 callsign 'EIN11J' departing Dublin Airport at 1402 local.  The new nitially four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, from 19 May frequency increases from four weekly to daily  operated by Boeing 757-200 aircraft. This year Aer Lingus total capacity to and from North America for 2018 will reach 2.75 million seats with an extra 177,000 added as frequencies increase to Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
