Last built Boeing 737NG delivered to KLM Airlines visits Dublin Airport

                                                  Image courtesy of @Elevationair  Boeing has delivered the last ever Boeing 737 ‘Next Generation’ (NG) to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, excluding military variant the P-8. The Boeing 737-8K2 is registered as PH-BCL the 31st for KLM, was delivered Seattle to Amsterdam on 18th December 2019 as KLM9870 is named "‘Red-crested Pochard / Krooneend". The aircraft carries Line Number 7,542 and joins KLM’s 737NG fleet made up of 16 -700, 31 -800 and five -900 aircraft. The aircraft in a 186 seat three class layout Europe Business Class, Economy Class and Economy Comfort features the Boeing Sky interior with larger luggage bins, modern LED lighting, new seats with adjustable headrest for extra comfort and USB power at every seat. The aircraft made its first visit to Dublin on Sunday 5th January 2020 operating the lunchtime time KLM935/6 (ATC Callsign) KLM43C/25E. Ryanair scales up Malta based subsidiary Malta Air Boeing 737-800 fleet

                                                Ryanair Boeing 737-800 Irish budget carrier Ryanair has scaled up the fleet of its Malta based subsidiary to 64 aircraft transferring aircraft from Dublin based Ryanair DAC. Malta Air currently operates a fleet of 64 Boeing 737-800 aircraft transferred from parent Ryanair DAC. Ryanair based aircraft from France, Italy and Germany onto the Malta AOC which will allow these crews to pay their income taxes locally in France, Italy and Germany instead of Ireland where they are currently required to pay income taxes under Ryanair’s Irish AOC. In Summer 2020 Malta Air will base four Boeing 737-800 in Vienna airport to operate on behalf of Laudamotion. According to Ryanair the six aircraft based in Malta (10 in Summer 2021) are to re-branded in Malta Air colours. Aircraft Professional’s Technical Network (APTN.aero) launches Web Portal

                                                    APTN (Aircraft Professional’s Technical Network) 22nd January launched a Web Portal and iOS APP ( https://portal.aptn.aero ) which allows members to advertise their technical skills and availability to the wider airline, lessor, MRO and engineering services community who in turn will have the ability to search by skill, location and date in the web portal. The Web Portal also provides members access to aircraft parts search and airworthiness directive search tools as well as providing access to on-demand webinars and to the content of technical workshops being held by APTN.aero at APTN Hubs globally. APTN.aero is the first independent professional body for aircraft technical professionals. The goal of APTN.aero is to provide a dedicated network and platform for APTN members with easy access to tools, resources, group services and continuous professional development opportunities that will enhance and progress their aviation ca
