Third Ethiopian Cargo Boeing 737-800SF transits Dublin on delivery

                                                                    Ethiopian Cargo has taken delivery of its third Boeing 737-800 freighter, with the aircraft transiting Dublin on it's delivery flight from the United States. The aircraft underwent its passenger to freighter (P2F) conversion at Aeronautical Engineering, Inc. authorized Conversion Center, Commercial Jet, in Miami. The aircraft registered ET-AYL Boeing 737-804(F) msn 32903 routed Dothan-Washington Dulles-Dublin-Addis Ababa on the 23-25 March 2021 using callsign 'ETH 9201'. The aircraft landed in Dublin at 1950 local on 24 March departing next day at 1104 local. Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, said "I would like to express my delight upon the delivery of the B737-800SF converted freighter aircraft. Unique Ilyushin Il-62M visits Shannon Airport

                                                                  Thursday 18th March saw a very unique Belarus airline Rada Airlines operated EW-450TR Ilyushin Il-62MGr serial number 4546257 arrive in Shannon Airport from Orsha Belarus for an overnight stop departing next day to Zargeb, Croaita. The aircraft has a very interesting history with first flight on 31st October 1985 later delivered to East German carrier Interflug on 12th December 1985 as DDR-SET later taking up registration D-AOAK. It was later sold by Interflug with service across the CIS with a number of carriers Aeroflot, Abakan-Avia, Uzbekistan Airways, Panaf Airways and KAPO Gorbunov. The airline Rada Airlines has no base airport as such but has agreements with the airports in Orsha and Gomel in Belarus. In an interview with Russian Aviation Insider CCO Dmitry Ishchenko said "As a charter airline we are planning to fly around the world without being tied to Belarus".  The airline operates a fleet of two TCO-

9H-AEO Airbus A320-214 Malta Medair visits Dublin Airport

                                                                  On Thursday 25th March new Maltese carrier Malta Medair Airbus A320-214 registered 9H-AEO msn 2768 visited Dublin operating a charter to and from Malta as MMO1220/1 arriving at 1051 local departing at 1148 local. The aircraft is painted in "Valletta - European Capital of Culture" special colours and operated in 168 seat class economy layout. Malta MedAir is a private company registered under the name of Malta Air Travel Ltd, with its main shareholder being the Government of Malta. The company is operating as a European-based airline and was registered in Malta in January 2018 operating a single A320-200, 9H-AEO (msn 2768). The airline flies under a Maltese AOC and provides a range of services to aviation and non-aviation business customers in Europe and beyond. Turkish Airlines launches new Dublin to Antalya route for Summer 21

                                                                  Turkish Airlines is to launch a new Dublin to Antalya route for Summer 21 operating three times weekly on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 20th June to 12th September using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The airline currently operates Dublin to Istanbul four times weekly using Airbus A321NEO/Airbus A330-300 aircraft increasing to daily for the summer season. SP-RKA Boeing 737-8AS Ryanair Sun (Buzz) Transferred to Ryanair UK

                                                             In a intergroup transfer SP-RKA Boeing 737-8AS msn 44690 Ryanair Sun (Buzz) has been transferred to Ryanair UK as G-RUKB.  SP-RKA positioned Krakow to London Stansted as RYR2433 on the 5th March and was re-registered on the 10th March.  Ryanair UK is a  low-cost airline based at Stansted airport it commenced operations in March 2019. Irish Business & General Aviation Association (IBGAA) Takes Flight with Launch of Website

Hi Fly operates inaugural Airbus A330-900 into Dublin

                                                                  On Friday 12th March CS-TKY msn 1929 HiFly operated the inaugural Airbus A330-941 into Dublin Airport. The aircraft operated to and from Manchester as HFY271/2P arriving at 0942 local and departing at 1212. The A330-900 was delivered to HiFly from Toulouse to Beja on 3rd September 2019 in a two class configuration with 18 business class and 353 economy class powered by RR Trent 7000-72 engines. Hi Fly is a widebody aircraft wet lease specialist operating worldwide on ACMI basis to the clients, i.e. including the crew, all the required maintenance and the aircraft and third party liability insurance. The Hi Fly brand is operated by two affiliated airlines, one based in Portugal and the other based in Malta. Condor to operate on behalf of DHL Express on Leipzig-Shannon Route

                                                    The German leisure carrier Condor has leased four Boeing 767-300’s to DHL Express to carry cargo instead of passengers. The leased aircraft will operate for DHL Express from their base in Leipzig to Cologne/ Bonn, Milan/Malpensa and Shannon. The partnership will initially extend until the end of May.  D-ABUI Boeing 767-330(ER) msn 26988 operated the first service CFG7160/1 on the Leipzig-Shannon-Leipzig on 22nd February. Chief Operating Officer Condor Christian Schmitt said  "We have already been operating more cargo flights over the past year and have expanded our expertise here. We are very pleased to now also work with such an experienced partner as DHL Express. The partnership also shows that Condor can flexibly adapt to circumstances in special situations and thus contribute an important part to the international supply chain in cooperation with DHL." Virgin Atlantic operates inaugural Airbus A350-1000 into Dublin

                                                                 Virgin Atlantic operated the inaugural Airbus A350-1000 aircraft into Dublin Airport on Friday 5th with G-VTEA Airbus A350-1041 msn 426 named "Rosie Lee" operating VIR521 from London Heathrow touching down at 1739 local. The aircraft departed back to London Heathrow as VIR522 at 1905 local. The aircraft made its second visit to Dublin on Sunday 7th March operating VIR521/522.  The Airbus A350-1000 operated in the lieu of the Boeing 787-9 on its twice weekly cargo service.  The A350-1000 is capable of carrying up to 49 tonnes of cargo. Virgin Atlantic cargo has been operating a twice weekly cargo service into Dublin since May 2020 enabling Ireland’s medical technology, electronics and other industries to achieve same day connections to New York JFK, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv and Johannesburg via London Heathrow. Turkish Airlines Retro Livery Airbus A330 in Dublin

                                                                 On Saturday 27th February Turkish Airlines Retro Livery Airbus A330-203 msn 742 registered at TC-JNC operating THY5RZ/5XV. This is second visit of the aircraft having perviously visited in March 2008. The aircraft named "Kushimoto" was painted into Retro special colours in October 2015 and is operated in two class configuration 18 business class and 232 economy seats. Eamonn Brennan Eurocontrol DG tweeted on 7th March the busiest airline in the Eurocontrol Network is Turkish Airlines operating 591 daily flights 50% of its 2019 scheduled. ASG Business Aviation Gulfstream G650 4K-ASG Visits Dublin

                                                                  On Tuesday 2nd March 4K-ASG Gulfstream G650 msn 6610 ASG Business Aviation operated its first flight Dublin spending approximately one hour on the ground arriving from London Stansted departing to Farnborough. ASG Business Aviation part of the Silk Way Group is based Baku, Azerbaijan.  ASG Business Aviation carries out individual private flights and ground handling services at Baku, as well as other airports in Azerbaijan (Gabala, Ganja, Nakhchivan, Lankaran and Zagatala). Aer Lingus Airbus A321LR EI-LRE Enters Revenue Service

                                                                                                                                      The fifth Aer Lingus Airbus A321-253NX registered as EI-LRE msn 10245 operated its first revenue service from Dublin to Boston on Sunday 28th February as EIN137 departing at 1400 local arriving into Boston at 1537 local, returning on Monday 1st March as EIN136 landing in Dublin at 0440 local according to Flightradar24.com.  The aircraft had been in storage in Dublin since delivery on 7th December 2020. Data from Flightradar shows the aircraft performed a 28 minute test flight at Dublin as EIN990 on Saturday 27th February. A further three Airbus A321LR's to be delivered by March 2021 registered as EI-LRF, EI-LRG and EI-LRH all leased from Air Lease Corporation (ALC).
