EI-HEN Boeing 737-8200 Ryanair Positions to Dublin to Funchal for new base announcement

                                                                 On Tuesday 22rd November Ryanair's Boeing 737-8200 msn 62301 positioned from Dublin to Funchal (FNC) using its registration as callsign for formal new base announcement next day. According to Flightradar24 the aircraft departed Dublin 1331 local arriving Funchal (FNC)1647 local.  The aircraft returned to Dublin next day arriving 1709 local using its registration as callsign prior to returning to London Stansted (STN) base as RYR820 later same evening.  The aircraft operated London Stansted (STN) to Dublin as RYR271 on 20th November and  on 21st November operated Dublin to Faro (FAO) RYR7032/3 and Dublin (DUB) to Lisbon (LIS) RYR7138/7. Ryanair announced the opening of its fifth base in Portugal at Funchal  on 23rd November with 2 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, representing an investment of $200m operating 40 weekly flights operating 10 new routes to Brussels Charleroi, Dublin, Lisbon, London Stansted, Manchester, Marseille

Aer Lingus re-connects Ireland to Sunshine State with Orlando route

                                                                   Aer Lingus restoration of its Dublin North Atlantic Hub continues on a phased basis with carrier resuming its Dublin to Orlando route with effect from Saturday 26th November using Airbus A330-300 aircraft operating three times.  Aer Lingus Executive Vice-President US Bill Byrne said "We are so happy to be flying to the US from Dublin again, and this weekend we can once again connect families, friends and businesses to Florida. Flying to Orlando is an important step in the resumption or our services and will no doubt be very meaningful to those people with connections to the Sunshine State."  The first service was operated by EI-FNH msn 1744 EIN120 (ATC Callsign EIN1ER) departing Dublin 1232 local arriving Orlando 1605 local. The return sector EIN120 departed Orlando 1946 local arriving into Dublin 0832 local.  Orlando becomes the seventh North Atlantic gateway to be restored from Aer Lingus Dublin Airport Hub.

KLM Airlines introduces Embraer 195-E2 on selected Amsterdam-Dublin services

                                                                   Dutch carrier KLM Airlines has introduced its new Embraer 195-E2 aircraft on selected services on its Amsterdam to Dublin route operated by its Cityhopper subsidiary. The Embraer 195-E2 is in a three class 132 seat configuration with special mood lighting, ergonomically designed seats, extra legroom, USB connections and bigger baggage bins. The first Embraer 195-E2 was PH-NXA msn 19020045 on Saturday 20th November operating KLM933/934 followed by PH-NXB msn19020047  KLM933/934 on Friday 26th November and PH-NXD msn 19020054 KLM933/934 today Saturday 27th November.  The new aircraft will enable KLM Cityhopper to accommodate growing passenger demand without increasing flight frequency and replace existing Boeing 737-700 and Embraer 175/ 190 aircraft as part of KLM’s initiative Fly Responsibly. Aeromexico adds trio of Irish Registered Boeing 737-8 MAX Aircraft

                                                                  Mexican carrier Aeromexico recently added a trio of Irish registered Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to its fleet. EI-GZA Boeing 737-8 msn 42837 was delivered Boeing Field to Mexico City on 17th November, this aircraft was originally destined for Norwegian Air Sweden as SE-RTD. EI-GZB Boeing 737-8 msn 42839 was delivered Boeing Field to Mexico City on 23rd November, this aircraft too like its sistership EI-GZA was originally destined for Norwegian Air Sweden as SE-RTF. EI-GZC Boeing 737-8 msn 42841 was delivered Boeing Field to Mexico City on 20th November, this aircraft too like its sistership's was originally destined for Norwegian Air Sweden as SE-RTH and was in storage registered as N5573P. Last April Aeromexico reached agreement to increase its fleet with twenty-four (24) new Boeing 737 aircraft, including B737-8 and B737-9 MAX and four (4) 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft as part of the airline's restructured agreements

Aer Lingus re-connects Dublin to Newark

                                                                   Aer Lingus continues to gradually rebuild its Dublin North Atlantic Hub with effect from Sunday 14th November the carrier has resumed operations on Dublin to Newark route becoming the sixth gateway to be served from Dublin. The service will operate daily up to 9th January 2022 then reduces to five times weekly till 12th March then resumes daily service prior to the busy St Patrick's festival and start of IATA summer scheduled 31st March 2022. EI-DYM Boeing 737-8AS Ryanair DAC Transferred to Ryanair UK as G-RUKG

                                                                            The Ryanair Group has completed the transfer of EI-DYM Boeing 737-8AS msn 36575 Ryanair DAC to Ryanair UK as G-RUKG on 12th November at London Stansted. EI-DYM was delivered to Ryanair DAC on 30th May 2008.  The aircraft operated its last flight for Ryanair DAC on 9nd November as RYR2699 from Cluj-Napoca (CLJ) to London Stansted (STN). Ryanair UK is a  low-cost airline based at Stansted airport it commenced operations in March 2019 operating a fleet of seven Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Air Astana Registers first Embraer E190-E2 in Ireland

                                                                   Kazakhstan's Air Astana has registered the first of its five Embraer 190-E2 aircraft in Ireland as part of the partnership agreement between the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) and Kazakh Civil Aviation Authority .  P4-KHA Embraer E190-E2 msn 19020012 was re-registered as EI-KHA at Almaty International on 20th October. The aircraft is painted in special "Snow Leopard" colours. The aircraft is in a two class configuration with 12 business and 96 economy class seats powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1919G engines. The Air Astana fleet consists of Boeing 767, Airbus A320, Airbus A320neo, Airbus A321, Airbus A321neo, A321neo LR, and Embraer E190-E2 aircraft.  Air Astana is a joint venture owned by the Samruk Kazyna Wealth Fund (51%) and BAE Systems PLC (49%).  Image Credit: Air Astana  Irish Aviation Research Institute © 6 November 2021 All Rights Reserved

Lauda Europe operates Belfast International charter flights

                                                                   Ryanair ACMI carrier Lauda Europe operated two Belfast International charter flights during October for sporting events held in Belfast. This was the first operation of the airline to Belfast International during the summer the carrier operated a once-off flight from Belfast City Airport to Palma operating for Ryanair. 9H-LOT Airbus A320-232 msn 2522 (RYR335/334)operated a charter on 8th October from Venice Treviso for an Ulster vs Benetton Treviso in United Rugby Championship 2022 league. The aircraft positioned from and to Vienna to Venice Treviso as LDA333/336. Interestingly RYR335/4 is a flight number used on Ryanair's London Luton to Dublin route. 9H-LOR Airbus A320-214 msn 3206 (LDA9071/9072) operated a charter from Vienna on 24th October for Austria women's national football team for World Cup qualifier at Crusaders’ Seaview stadium returning to Vienna on 27th October.                                                                   The Ryanair Group took delivery of seven Boeing 737-8200 aircraft in September with deliveries to subsidiaries to Buzz (Poland), Malta Air and Ryanair DAC. The first Boeing 737-8200 was delivered to Buzz on Friday 3rd September. Buzz is due to receive a total of 15 Boeing 737-8-200's from Ryanair's group order of 210 aircraft. EI-DLJ Boeing 737-8AS Ryanair DAC Transferred to Ryanair UK as G-RUKF

                                                                   The Ryanair Group has completed the transfer of EI-DLJ Boeing 737-8AS msn 33417 Ryanair DAC to Ryanair UK as G-RUKF on 4th November at London Stansted. EI-DLJ was delivered to Ryanair DAC on 28th March 2006.  The aircraft operated its last flight for Ryanair DAC on 2nd November as RYR2437 from Krakow (KRK) to London Stansted (STN). Ryanair UK is a  low-cost airline based at Stansted airport it commenced operations in March 2019 operating a fleet of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Ryanair launches new Agadir to Dublin connection

                                                           Irish Budget carrier Ryanair has launched a new route from its Agadir Base to Dublin effective from Sunday 18th October operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. The inaugural service (RYR3995/3994) was operated by EI-EKR Boeing 737-8AS msn 38503. ONMT General Manager Adel El Fakir said "Ryanair has been a long-time partner of the Morocco destination and plays a key role in our system aimed at increasing point-to-point air connections between the kingdom and the world." Ryanair DAC CEO Eddie Wilson stated "We are proud to announce the upcoming opening of our third Moroccan base.                                                                   Another historic day for Irish Aviation occurred at Shannon Airport on Wednesday 27th October as the airport hosted a trio of Antonov aircraft reminiscent of the past Aeroflot days when significant Russian activity with Ilyushin and Tupolev aircraft on transit stops and painting visits.                                                                                 EI-FYE Boeing 737-8 msn 42827 Norwegian Air International named 'Sojourner Truth' was ferried Edinburgh to Oslo Gardermoen on Thursday 28th October as 'IBK1A' arriving 1526 local after storage since March 2019. The aircraft was delivered Boeing Field to Oslo Gardermoen on 1st August 2017. Its sistership SE-RYK Boeing 737-8 msn 42826 Norwegian Air Sweden was ferried Lleida/Alguaire to Bergen on Friday 29th October reported Skyliner Aviation.
