WestJet connects Toronto to Chicago and Dublin this summer

                                                                  Canadian carrier Westjet announced it's 2022 summer schedule with restoration of its network to nearly pre-pandemic levels. As part of its expanded schedule its commencing a new daily service from Chicago to Toronto operated by its subsidiary Westjet Encore which is optimized to offer a one-stop connecting service to a number of European cities including Dublin, from Thursday 19th May.  The carrier will commence its new Toronto to Dublin on Sunday 15th May initially operating four times weekly increasing to a daily service by 1st June using Boeing 737-8 MAX Aircraft.  WestJet Chief Commercial Officer John Weatherill stated "As we continue to focus on expanding our network from our Toronto hub where we offer 33 international destinations, these flights will further strengthen business and leisure ties between Canada and Ireland and will increase connectivity between two key markets." Delta Airlines connects Oakland International (OAK) to Dublin via its Atlanta Hub

                                                                   US carrier Delta Airlines is to launch a new daily service from its Atlanta Hub to Oakland, California operated a Boeing 737-900 aircraft in a three class 180 seat configuration commencing Monday 8th August, enabling an easy one stop through to Dublin with an 1 hour 30 minute connection time in Atlanta.  Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland Bryant L. Francis stated "Delta’s new nonstop daytime flight to their expansive hub operation in Atlanta will allow passengers even more connections within Delta’s global route network. Air Canada selects Dublin Airport for technical stops on Delhi flights

                                                                  Air Canada is operating a total of 21 return flights a week to Delhi from its international hubs in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, operated by a mix Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787-9 aircraft.  As Russia closed its airspace to Canada effective 28th February with exceptions made for humanitarian aid or diplomatic missions. As a consequence of the closure of Russian airspace Air Canada will operate 10 technical stops per week through Dublin Airport from its Montreal and Vancouver bases to Delhi on selected eastbound and westbound sectors. As it is a technical stop and no 5th Freedom rights, Air Canada will not be accepting passengers in Dublin for onward flights. Ryanair Group Expands Boeing 737-8200 fleet to 59 aircraft

                                                                  The Ryanair Group took delivery of six Boeing 737-8200 aircraft during the month of March bringing Group total to 58 aircraft. On aircraft was delivered to Buzz and Malta Air and four to Ryanair DAC.  Since deliveries commenced in June 2021 Buzz has taken delivery of 13 aircraft, Ryanair DAC 22 aircraft and Malta Air 24 aircraft.
